Terms governing your use of the Arco app and website.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Arco, a native macOS app for comparing AI models side by side, and our website at arco.chat. By downloading, installing, or using Arco, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service Description

Arco is a desktop application that lets you send a single prompt to multiple AI models and compare their responses in one window. You bring your own OpenRouter API key and pay OpenRouter directly for model usage. Arco offers a free tier with limited saved conversations and a Pro license with full access, purchased as a one-time payment.

Conversations are stored locally on your device. Arco does not upload your prompts or AI responses to our servers.

User Accounts

Some features, including purchasing a Pro license, require an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your OpenRouter API Key

Arco requires you to provide your own OpenRouter API key to access AI models. You are solely responsible for:

  • Obtaining and maintaining your OpenRouter account
  • All charges incurred through your OpenRouter account
  • Complying with OpenRouter's terms of service and the terms of individual AI model providers

Arco is not responsible for OpenRouter's pricing, availability, rate limits, or the accuracy of responses from any AI model. Outages or changes on OpenRouter's side are outside our control.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Arco only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use the service to generate content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the app or any part of it
  • Use Arco in a way that violates the terms of OpenRouter or any AI model provider
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Intellectual Property

Arco, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the app.

You retain full ownership of your conversations, prompts, and AI responses. Because this content stays on your device, you do not grant us any license to it.

Purchases and Refunds

Pro licenses are sold as a one-time payment processed through Creem.io. Current pricing is shown on our website at the time of purchase.

All sales are final. Because Pro is a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds.

Each Pro license is valid for use on one device. You may not share, transfer, or resell your license.

Disclaimers

Arco is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • AI model responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes
  • OpenRouter or any AI model will be available at all times
  • The app will be free from errors or interruptions

AI-generated content may be incorrect, biased, or outdated. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Arco and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms or your use of Arco will not exceed the amount you paid us for a Pro license in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using Arco at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your account or access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use Arco ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Arco will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the app. Continued use of Arco after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
