This Privacy Policy explains how Arco ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our native macOS app and website at arco.chat. Arco is built around privacy: your conversations stay on your device, and we collect only what we need to provide the service.

Information We Collect

Account information. If you create an account or purchase a Pro license, we collect your email address and basic account details needed to sign you in and manage your purchase.

Payment information. Purchases are processed by Creem.io, our payment provider. We do not store your credit card or payment details. Creem.io handles payment processing according to their own privacy policy.

What we do not collect. We do not collect, store, or transmit your conversation content, prompts, or AI responses. Those stay on your device. We also do not currently use analytics or crash reporting services.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Arco app and website
• Process purchases and manage Pro licenses
• Send transactional emails, such as purchase confirmations or account-related notices
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

OpenRouter. Arco connects to AI models through OpenRouter using your own API key. Your relationship with OpenRouter is direct: you sign up with them, pay them for model usage, and are subject to their terms and privacy policy. Your OpenRouter API key is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store it on our servers.

Creem.io. We use Creem.io to process payments for Pro licenses. When you make a purchase, Creem.io collects the payment information needed to complete the transaction.

Data Storage and Security

Your conversations, prompts, and AI responses are stored locally on your Mac. They are not uploaded to our servers.

Account information related to your purchase or login is stored on our servers and protected with reasonable technical and organizational measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

Children's Privacy

Arco is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the app. Continued use of Arco after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
